Create an asset with actual backing

Commit admitted value once, bind it to the authored asset, and preserve the complete funding result.

Backing is a financial commitment

Create with backing combines a canonical authored source with one supported native backing transition. Reserve is allocated first and Settlement supplies the remainder. The asset ID, full supply and linked authored proof digest bind to that operation. Committed backing cannot remain separately spendable in the funding account. A title, listing, estimated value or uploaded file cannot create it.

Preserve one source and one funding attempt
  1. Source heldRetain the authored Original.
  2. ReviewBind asset, supply and exact funding.
  3. FundedAccept the native committed result.
  4. PublishedDeliver the same asset and source.

Review the actual asset creation

  1. Choose Create with backing

Complete the composer and enter Backing amount.

  2. Review asset creation

Inspect Asset, You pay, Exact value, Asset units, Fee and Total debit.

  3. Read Transaction proof

Inspect the Reserve/Settlement components, review digest and expiry coordinate.

  4. Approve exact terms

Use I approve this exact transaction and its displayed terms, then Create funded asset. Edit details discards the review.

What must match

The financial result stays bound to the authored source
BindingRequired agreement
Authored OriginalThe retained canonical artifact and resource closure.
Asset definitionOwner, title, description, symbol and supply.
FundingExact units, rail and complete Reserve/Settlement composition.
ReviewCurrent authority/head, digest and unexpired terms.
Public certificateThe same native asset and linkedProofDigest; no private holding or payment authority.

Recover the creation stages

The retained sequence is source-held → funding-pending → funded → publication-pending → published. Continue your asset resumes the held source before funding. Confirming your asset keeps an uncertain native result under the same request. Cancellation is available before funding begins; uncertain funding must resolve before another request can replace it. Insufficient combined funds, unsupported precision, changed authority or expired terms refuse the operation.

Publish without funding twice

After actual funding, Retry public delivery reopens the same retained bytes and placement. It must not debit again, issue another asset or add another Showcase member. A sealed local source can remain usable while public delivery is pending. Published means the required public document/discovery result is complete. The public certificate describes the admitted asset; it does not grant the reader ownership or permission to redeem it.
